So at SAC I enrolled in to the Showcase Acting 198 class. Since it sucks we have no money to do any full productions because of the budget cuts, a performing class was offered to keep the Theatre alive at SAC. What musicalish are we doing? Well it is a showcase that will consist of variety types of scenes taken from different types and genres of plays. There is something for EVERYONE!
In this small showcase we are starting off with
“WELCOME TO OUR WORLD” written by the amazing Sheryl Donchey! Giving the audience a glimpse of what Theatre life is like the audition process we go through. I will be doing the dance and monologue portion of the “audition” process. I will be doing a movie monologue playing Sugar Kane from the movie “Some Like It Hot!” I guess you can say I’m excited about it, I would of liked to find a PLAY monologue, but then again I don’t have time to look and memorize a new one because of the crazy schedule I have. ANYWAYS! Small scenes from Lysistrata , Midsummer’s Dream, A Raisin in the Sun and…GREASE!
=T… Well this is the first musical I am doing and honestly it isn’t exactly the FiRST musical I would want to jump right in to do, but then again I thought this is probably the closest thing I’ll ever get to be in a musical. I believe I am a horrible out of tune singer! Oh well its like my baby boy says “It’s an experience” hahaha well here’s the info if ya’ll want to come and check it out =]...
